I first saw this store in Italy and was dying to try it yet was unable to. So when I saw that NYC had a Venchi location, I HAD to have a taste.
The shop itself is reminiscent of that in Italy with its chocolate waterfall and tiny shop of imported italian chocolates, candies and knickknacks. The servers are very nice and patient with samples and I had a TON before choosing so thank you! Interior was clean, bright, yet slightly crowded.

We ended up getting raw milk and hazelnut which perfectly complimented each other. Ah bliss. Cold. Creamy. Sweet. Salty. 2 scoops for about $6-7 which is slightly pricey (more than eataly at least) but servings are generous and it is so worth it.

The chocolate wall however, is not real chocolate. Still worth it though

Super cute chocolate/gelato shop right by Union Square aka incredibly convenient, but also frequently packed.

The brand is super popular in Italy (and in Europe in general) and I can definitely see why. They sell chocolate boxes, truffles, chocolate bars, and individually wrapped chocolates priced by how much they weigh!

Items are all pretty expensive, but you can tell they're all high quality. You can definitely sample the gelato before getting it which is a great way to try a couple more flavors before really deciding where you want to spend your money.

I absolutely loved their "Venchi Suprema chocolate spread"! It reminds me of Ferraro Rocher / Nutella because it's made from chocolate and hazelnut. You can tell that all the ingredients are sooo high quality here (e.g., their spread uses extra-virgin olive oil).

My friend and I recently tried both their spreads (which you can buy in jars or add to your gelato, hot chocolate, crepe, etc.), their gelato with a Suprema chocolate spread dipped cone and some crunchies, and their rich hot chocolate. Yes, we indulged ourselves and go the Suprema XV hot chocolate but they also have a classic one without the spread / whipped cream and they have an alcoholic one called the Cuba Rhum.

The "chocolate wall" is a cute addition to the store, but it's actually oil! Makes sense since an actual chocolate wall dripping down would probably attract all sorts of bugs and would definitely be a mess. Not THAT many seats, but enough for you and a couple friends to still sit together. Would suggest coming in parties of 4 or less if you want to sit down though.

Stop by, but be ready to drop some money and have an intense sugar rush/crash!

My go to sorbet spot with friends. I typically order either the baby scoop (1), regular scoop (2) or large (3). Some of the flavors I like is the raspberry, strawberry, mango and coconut. You can order your flavor with a cup or cone. The shop has seating in the back that has like a chocolate waterfall theme (Don't knock it until you see it)

I come here once a week and suggest this shop to anyone that has a diary allergy or lactose intolerant that wants to indulge in some sweets.

I was searching for good Gianduja chocolate, and finally found here. This is a small store with limited seating. Everything I had from here was excellent. I went for a regular gelato and added pistachio and and giandujotto venezuela. Gelato was really creamy and rich. I liked pistachio flavor slightly more. Gianduja hot chocolate was also thick and creamy. That was one of the best things to have on a winter day. I bought some assorted chocolates. It was $20/lb. I picked a wide variety of chocolates. Chocoviar was my favorite type of chocolate, in that pistachio flavor was the best. Other chocolates, especially gianduja was also very good.

The gelato here is to DIE for. I had a super size with whipped cream and four delicious flavors (coconut straciatella, cranberry with dark chocolate, venchi cremino, and a fourth flavor I can't recall). Every single flavor was delicious, and the whipped cream was divine.

I also picked up three chocolates to eat at home: a selection of milk and dark chocolate pieces, a dark chocolate bar, and an extra dark chocolate bar with hazelnuts, all of which I've been inhaling in the days since I was in.

People around us also had delicious-looking hot chocolates and crepes, which they all seemed to be enjoying tremendously.

Definitely come in here for a visit. You won't regret it!
